A large Peruvian blue opal, measuring 19 x 25 mm, is set in an 18k gold bezel atop a wide sterling silver band.
The color of this stone is so pretty! It's a soft aqua/light teal/turquoise blue with subtle white spots that look like clouds and a few interesting black spot. Some are on the surface and some are below the surface. A unique and beautiful stone!

There is a subtle surface fracture that runs across the top of the stone. It can really only be seen in about 1/3rd of the stone. Still a bold and incredible stone!

***Peruvian blue opal comes from the Andes mountains in Peru and unfortunately, the mine they came from has been closed for over 10 years. There are not many left and when they're gone, they're gone. :O( Associated with the throat chakra, blue opal is considered a stone of courage and ingenuity.***

Currently a size 8, I'll be happy to size this ring up or down to fit. :O)
