Iolite is an interesting stone. It is not quite purple and not quite blue - a watery combination of the two. This deep purple cabochon stone measures 14 mm and is set in an 18k yellow gold bezel. The remainder of the ring, including the comfortable, wide band is sterling silver. The purple-blue iolite looks especially nice with the two colors of metals.
