Carico Lake Turquoise Ring in 18k Gold and Sterling Silver
Carico Lake Turquoise Ring in 18k Gold and Sterling Silver
A lovely, light blue piece of turquoise from the Carico Lake Mine in Lander County, Nevada is set in a tall 18k gold bezel. The balls on either side of the stone are 18k gold as well, with the remainder of the ring in sterling silver. This is such a pretty color of turquoise - kind of in between soft blue and soft green. This long oval stone measures 9 x 13 mm and is set horizontally across the finger. Not your typical turquoise ring.
***Turquoise was one of the first gems to be mined. It gets its blue color from a combination of copper and aluminium. It is an alternate birthstone for December. Associated with the throat chakra, turquoise has long been considered a protective stone by many different cultures. The Carico Lake Mine is located in Lander County, Nevada.***
Currently a size 6.5, I'll be happy to size this ring up or down to fit. :O)
Made one at a time in my Sonoran Desert studio. xo
