Carico Lake Turquoise Pendant in 18k Gold and Sterling Silver
Carico Lake Turquoise Pendant in 18k Gold and Sterling Silver
A lovely, light blue piece of turquoise from the Carico Lake Mine in Lander County, Nevada is set in an 18k gold bezel with a sterling silver back. The pendant measures 1-inch from the top of the 18k gold bail to the 18k gold ball below the stone. It hangs from an 18-inch oxidized sterling chain. This is such a pretty color of turquoise - kind of in between soft blue and soft green, with just the right amount of chocolate brown matrix. A pretty, delicate pendant, it looks great worn alone or with other favorite necklaces or delicate beads. A great everyday pendant!
***Turquoise was one of the first gems to be mined. It gets its blue color from a combination of copper and aluminum. It is an alternate birthstone for December. Associated with the throat chakra, turquoise has long been considered a protective stone by many different cultures. The Carico Lake Mine is located in Lander County, Nevada.***
